The UK General Aviation platform

ABOUT AERLO

General Aviation deserves a platform built around people, not just listings.

Our story

Why AERLO Exists

The UK General Aviation community is full of remarkable people, businesses, organisations and aircraft. Yet much of it remains spread across disconnected websites, Facebook groups, forums and marketplaces.

Finding the right aircraft, engineer, instructor, event, club, service or opportunity often feels harder than it should. Useful information is fragmented, valuable connections are easily missed and too much time is spent searching in different places.

AERLO brings those parts of General Aviation closer together, so useful people, aircraft, services, events and information are easier to find.

We are not trying to replace aviation. We are bringing it together.

One connected destination

The wider General Aviation picture

AERLO’s General Aviation marketplace brings together aircraft for sale, aircraft shares and aircraft parts. It helps pilots, owners and syndicates discover opportunities without losing sight of the people behind them.

The wider platform connects flight schools, aviation businesses, aviation events, aviation news and the curated Pilot Hub, so one useful discovery can lead naturally to the next.

Our purpose

Our Mission

Our mission is to strengthen General Aviation by making it easier for people to discover opportunities, build relationships and support one another.

Every improvement to AERLO should help members save time, discover something new or make aviation more connected.

General Aviation, connected.

What guides us

Our Values

Community First

Technology should bring pilots, businesses and enthusiasts closer together.

Build Real Value

Every feature should solve a genuine problem. If it doesn’t improve the member experience, it doesn’t belong.

Trust Matters

Reliable information. Professional presentation. Respect for the community. Quality over quantity.

Always Improving

AERLO will never be “finished”. We will continue listening, improving and building alongside the aviation community.

The people behind AERLO

Meet the Team

AERLO was founded by @Jed and @Harry, who saw how often useful parts of General Aviation were scattered across different websites, social groups and marketplaces.

Both remain closely involved in shaping the platform, understanding what members need and listening to feedback from across the aviation community.

Portrait of Jed, AERLO co-founder

Jed leads the development of AERLO and is also a professional pilot, flying specialised airborne operations across the UK and Europe.

Looking ahead

Built to keep improving

AERLO will keep improving its foundations and make useful aircraft, businesses, schools, events, stories and resources easier to discover.

We will listen carefully, build deliberately and concentrate on practical changes that make the platform more useful to General Aviation.

About AERLO

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers about the platform, its purpose and what members can do today.

What is AERLO?

AERLO is a UK General Aviation platform that brings aircraft, parts, businesses, learning, events, news and useful pilot resources together in one place.

Is AERLO just an aircraft marketplace?

No. The marketplace is where AERLO begins, but the wider platform also includes aviation businesses, flight schools, What’s On, Aviation News and the curated Pilot Hub.

What can I list on AERLO?

Members can list aircraft for sale, aircraft shares and aircraft parts, including Wanted requests, through the relevant listing journey. Each advert must meet AERLO’s publication requirements.

Why should I create a free account?

A free account lets you save favourites, manage listings and submissions, and keep your AERLO activity together in My AERLO.

Is AERLO free to use?

Browsing AERLO, creating an account and publishing an eligible Aircraft, Share or Business listing are free. Optional Featured and Premium promotion is available when a member wants more exposure, with the price shown before they commit.

Who is AERLO built for?

AERLO is built for pilots, future pilots, aircraft owners, syndicates, instructors, flight schools, engineers, maintenance organisations, brokers, parts suppliers, aviation businesses, event organisers and enthusiasts.

How does AERLO help the General Aviation community?

By making useful people, businesses, opportunities and knowledge easier to discover, AERLO reduces fragmentation and helps relationships form across UK General Aviation. Community value guides what we build.

How does AERLO verify information?

AERLO distinguishes the source of information. Listing and profile details are supplied by owners or businesses, editorial content is reviewed by AERLO, and verification labels appear only after the relevant check. Time-sensitive, technical and operational information should still be confirmed with its original authoritative source.

What are AERLO's future plans?

AERLO starts with useful marketplaces and directories, then builds carefully around the real needs of pilots, owners, businesses, schools, organisers and enthusiasts.
