We’re excited to introduce AERLO Flying Club — a new non-equity flying club based at Thruxton Airfield, designed for qualified pilots who want to fly more often, build hours and enjoy being part of a genuine general aviation community.
Whether you’re building pilot-in-command hours towards commercial training, planning a weekend trip or simply want regular access to a familiar aircraft, the idea is straightforward: flexible flying without having to buy an aircraft share.
AERLO started by connecting the UK general aviation community online. Flying Club is the next step: bringing that community together at the airfield.
A New Flying Club at Thruxton Airfield
Based at Thruxton Airfield in Hampshire, AERLO Flying Club is being developed around practical aircraft access, transparent pricing and the freedom to fly on your own terms. It is a non-equity club: members do not have to purchase a share in an aircraft or take on the financial responsibilities of aircraft ownership.
The club is intended for qualified private pilots and hour builders looking for a straightforward alternative to buying into a syndicate. Members can choose pay-as-you-go hire or a prepaid flying-hour package, depending on how frequently they expect to fly.
Meet G-BRAK: Our Cessna 172N
The club aircraft is G-BRAK, a Cessna 172N equipped for IFR operations. The C172 is a familiar four-seat, high-wing single-engine aircraft widely used for private flying and training. Its versatility makes it well suited to touring, maintaining flying currency and building experience.
For hour builders, access to the same aircraft can help create a consistent flying routine. For private pilots, it offers a practical way to plan local flights, cross-country trips and days away without purchasing an aircraft outright.
