Glasgow Prestwick Flight Centre is a flight school and recreational flying facility directly owned and operated by Glasgow Prestwick Airport. Located just 45 minutes south of Glasgow, the centre operates within controlled airspace on an international airport footprint, offering student pilots valuable experience interacting with commercial air traffic controllers and navigating long, full-service runways. The centre caters to both aspiring aviators and leisure flyers by providing tailored flight training programs, self-hire opportunities for licensed pilots, and visiting pilot services.
The flight school provides instruction for key Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) qualifications, including the Private Pilot Licence (PPL), and night ratings, supported by resident CAA examiners and experienced flight instructors. In addition to core pilot licensing, the centre offers a selection of trial flying experiences that allow beginners to take the controls under expert supervision while enjoying scenic aerial views of the Ayrshire coastline, the Isle of Arran, and West Scotland.
