The Historic Army Aircraft Flight (HAAF) is a registered UK charity based at Middle Wallop in Hampshire, dedicated to preserving and operating historic Army Air Corps aircraft in flying condition as a "living museum." Originally established in 1980 as the Army Historic Aircraft Flight, the organisation maintains a collection of fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft—including the Auster, Beaver, Scout, Sioux, Chipmunk and Skeeter—to celebrate the heritage of British Army aviation. Entirely volunteer-run, HAAF supports commemorative events, air displays, educational outreach, and public engagement while preserving the history and traditions of Army flying for future generations.
Beyond aircraft preservation, HAAF plays an important role in supporting the veteran community and inspiring future generations through STEM education and aviation heritage programmes. Working closely with the Army Flying Museum and the wider Army Air Corps community, the charity participates in major air shows, remembrance events, school visits, and hangar tours, bringing the sights and sounds of historic military aircraft to life.
