Lincoln Aero Club is one of Lincolnshire's longest-established flying clubs. They provide flight training, aircraft hire, hangarage and a welcoming aviation community for both student and qualified pilots. The club provides Private Pilot Licence (PPL) training through its associated flying school, alongside trial flights, self-fly hire and access to experienced instructors, operating from the restored wartime control tower of the former RAF Sturgate airfield.
Founded in 1956, the club has built a strong reputation for making general aviation safe, accessible and affordable while preserving the rich heritage of its historic airfield. In addition to flight training, members benefit from social events, fly-outs, hangarage, modern facilities and an active flying community, making Lincoln Aero Club an excellent base for both learning to fly and enjoying recreational aviation in Lincolnshire.
