The London Transport Flying Club (LTFC) was founded in 1931 with the aim of making flying accessible and affordable for everyone. Originally established by employees of London Transport, the club is now open to all and provides Private Pilot Licence, trial lessons, licence renewals, and aircraft hire. Training is delivered by experienced instructors using a fleet of Piper PA-28 aircraft, with an emphasis on high-quality instruction, safe flying, and building confidence in the complex airspace surrounding Fairoaks Airport.
As a member-owned organisation, LTFC combines professional flight training with a strong social and community atmosphere, encouraging members to continue flying long after gaining their licence.
