About North Wales Flight Academy

Located on the scenic Gwynedd coast in North Wales, Caernarfon Airport hosts flight training through North Wales Flight Academy, offering flexible programs for individuals pursuing careers in commercial or corporate aviation, as well as those flying purely for leisure. The core offering is the 45-hour Private Pilot's Licence (PPL) syllabus, which covers all the necessary practical flight instruction and personal training requirements. Designed to adapt to each student's schedule and experience level, the course can be completed either as an intensive fast-track program in as little as 3 to 4 weeks or spread out over a personalised schedule lasting up to 24 months.

In addition to full PPL course training, the airport provides trial flying lessons and introductory flight experiences that allow prospective pilots to get hands-on time at the controls under the supervision of qualified flight instructors. Operating out of a fully equipped airfield with a dedicated runway and daily operational hours, the flight academy gives trainees the advantage of learning in a professional aviation environment while taking advantage of the unique coastal and mountainous flying conditions of North Wales.
