RAF Benson Flying Club is a long-established military flying club, providing affordable civilian flight training and recreational flying for eligible serving and former Armed Forces personnel, MOD staff and associated members. The club offers Private Pilot Licence (PPL) and National Private Pilot Licence (NPPL) training, junior pilot scholarship programmes, aircraft hire and a range of additional qualifications including night, aerobatic and instrument ratings, all delivered by qualified civilian instructors in a supportive and professional environment.
Operating a fleet that includes Diamond DA40 and Slingsby T67 Firefly aircraft, RAF Benson Flying Club also supports qualified pilots with continuation training, licence conversions, revalidation flights and type differences training. With access to subsidised flying opportunities, ELCAS funding for eligible personnel and a strong emphasis on making aviation accessible to the Service community, the club provides an excellent environment for both aspiring and experienced pilots to develop their skills and enjoy recreational flying.
