The aircraft is well looked after and inspected every 50 hours. All relevant paperwork and aircraft information is available to view, along with references from pilots who have previously flown the aircraft.

Fuel You simply replace/pay for the fuel you use. G-BOYB typically burns around 18–20 litres per hour, with fuel currently approximately £2.06/litre at the home airfield. This equates to roughly £35–£42 per hour in fuel.

Actual consumption will depend on the type of flying. During circuit work, for example, fuel burns of around 10–13 litres per hour have been seen. Your overall fuel cost will therefore depend on how you fly and where you choose to refuel.

Insurance The aircraft operates on a named-pilot insurance basis. A refundable insurance excess/deposit will apply, with the amount dependent on the individual pilot and their experience. This will be refunded on a pro-rata basis according to the time flown.
