  • Yes — in most cases, we can arrange for you or a family member to travel on the same flight as your loved one. Depending on the routing and availability, this may be on the same aircraft or on a connecting commercial service. Your account manager will guide you through the options and ensure everything is coordinated smoothly.

  • The exact documents vary by country, but typically you will need:

    • A death certificate

    • An embalming certificate (where required)

    • Transfer or consular paperwork

    • A valid passport for the deceased

    • Your own passport details if you are travelling

    We will advise you on every requirement for the specific country of departure and ensure all documents meet carrier and local authority standards.

  • Our goal is to make this process as simple as possible, that includes getting your loved one where they need to be, we will explore available routing options and advise on the most practical solution.

  • Upon arrival, your loved one is transferred from the aircraft to the airport’s receiving facilities. Your chosen UK funeral director will then take over, managing customs clearance and collection. We coordinate closely with them in advance so the handover is seamless and everything is prepared before the flight lands.

  • Some funeral plans may include a contribution toward repatriation costs, but this varies by provider and the level of cover. We recommend checking the details of the policy or speaking directly with the funeral director or plan provider. If needed, we can supply a detailed quotation to support any claim.
